Since its premiere back in 1963, the long-running British sci-fi show Doctor Who has kept one secret close to the chest: the name of its central character. Though he has gone by the moniker “The Doctor” for 50 years, the titular Time Lord has yet to reveal his true name.
This makes the upcoming season seven finale’s title, “The Name of the Doctor,” all the more intriguing. The name was accompanied a poster advertising the finale, which was first reported by the BBC.
The poster further confirms that the final episode will be written by Steven Moffat and directed by Saul Metzstein.
The season finale is set to air on May 18.
