Frank Ocean to Headline Norway's Hove Festival
Looks as though America wasn’t the only place to fall in love with the critically lauded Frank Ocean.
The Grammy-winning singer has been tapped as one of the four headliners for Hove 2013, an annual music festival in Norway. The appearance will serve as one of Ocean’s few music festival appearances this summer. Despite the attention surrounding his latest album Channel Orange, Ocean has been fairly low-key the past year.
“Frank Ocean has been on the top of our wish list for a long time and in many ways it is a dream come true,” Hove head booker Toffen Gunnufsen says. "Frank Ocean is a groundbreaking artist and manages to cross the lines between genres and conventions – something that makes him a perfect artist for our festival.
Other confirmed acts include Kings of Leon, A$AP Rocky, Phoenix, The Script, Crystal Castles, Bullet for My Valentine, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Modestep, The Lumineers, Volbeat, 2 Chainz, Enter Shikari and Jake Bugg.
The festival will take place July 2-5 on Tromøya, an island off the coast of Norway.
