Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé to Headline Rock in Rio Festival
Long considered one of the world’s biggest music festivals (both in terms of acts and attendance), this year’s Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro looks as though it will carry on that legacy.
Released today, the lineup seems to have something for everyone.
Chart-topping acts artists as Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Muse and Nickelback (yes, Nickelback) join more alternative-leaning bands like Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Florence and the Machine and Gogol Bordello as well as veteran acts like Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Slayer Alice in Chains and Iron Maiden.
Other acts confirmed include Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Ghost B.C., Ben Harper, Sepultura, The Offspring, 30 Seconds to Mars, Paul Oakenfold, The Gaslamp Killer, Brodinski, Gesaffelstein and Tiga.
