Microsoft to Reveal Next Xbox on May 21
On a his blog, Xbox LIVE’s director of programming Larry Hryb announced that Microsoft is set to reveal its newest gaming system at a press event on May 21.
The updated console is rumored to be titled Xbox 720 as a replacement to its predecessor Xbox 360. Xbox made its debut in 2001 and its most recent advancement was the addition of Kinect, which launched in 2010 and is a control-free, motion-sensing device that was introduced as competition for Nintendo’s active Wii games.
Hryb also confirmed to unviel the “full lineup of blockbuster games” for the latest system at the E3 gaming conference in Los Angeles over June 11-13.
“We are thrilled to pull back the curtain and reveal what we’ve been working on,” Hryb stated.
The announcement will be available to stream via Xbox LIVE, Spike TV or the company’s website.
