Connie Britton and Adam Driver will play a couple in Shawn Levy’s upcoming This is Where I Leave You, according to Entertainment Weekly.
As previously reported, Jason Bateman and Tina Fey will star as siblings with Driver cast as their youngest brother. Based on Jonathan Tropper’s 2010 novel, This is Where I Leave You tells the story of four siblings who spend a week together at their childhood home at their recently deceased father’s request. Jane Fonda is also part of the ensemble as their widowed mother.
Driver’s character is explained as the out-of-control baby brother who deals with the dysfunctional family’s disapproval of his relationship with Britton due to age differences. The fact that the Nashville star’s character is a therapist also irritates the Foxman family members.
The remaining love interests include Justified’s Timothy Olyphant as Fey’s character’s high school sweetheart, Kathryn Hahn as the wife of Corey Stoll’s character, Rose Byrne as Bateman’s love interest and Abigail Spencer as his ex-wife.
Because this cast list continues to get better, Ben Schwartz, known as Jean Ralphio on Parks and Recreation, will play the family’s non-traditional rabbi.
Shawn Levy is set to direct This is Where I Leave You and co-produce with Paula Weinstein. Filming is expected to begin next month.
