Tribeca Film Festival Winners Announced
The Tribeca Film Festival announced the winners in their competition categories today. The results proved international films were the ones to beat. Australia’s The Rocket won the big award for “Best Narrative Feature” along with a “Best Actor Award for its lead. Still, a few American movies dominated their categories as well including “Best Documentary Feature” for The Kill Team and “Best New Documentary Director” for Oxyana.

Best Cinematography in a Narrative Feature Film: Cinematography by Marius Matzow Gulbrandsen, for Before Snowfall, directed by Hisham Zaman (Germany, Norway)
Best Screenplay for a Narrative Feature Film: The Broken Circle Breakdown, written by Carl Joos and Felix van Groeningen and directed by Felix van Groeningen (Netherlands, Belgium)
Best New Narrative Director: Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais, director of Whitewash (Canada)
Special Jury Mention: Harmony Lessons, directed by Emir Baigazin (Germany, France)
Best Documentary Feature: The Kill Team, directed by Dan Krauss (USA)
