Westboro Baptist Church to Protest at Roger Ebert's Funeral
In retaliation to beloved film critic Roger Ebert’s criticism of the Westboro Baptist Church on Twitter, the anti-gay religious group has announced that they will protest at Ebert’s funeral Monday morning.
The church released a statement online against Ebert on Saturday riddled with vitriolic language against Ebert along with sparse details about the protest set for this morning.
Less than two weeks prior to his death, Ebert tweeted a link to a book excerpt posted on Salon.com:
Just another day at Westboro Baptist. dld.bz/cs74b

The excerpt was from Jeff Chu’s book, Does Jesus Really Love Me?: A Gay Christian’s Pilgrimage in Search of God in America.
WBC has planned to protest at Ebert’s funeral beginning at 9:15 this morning until 10 a.m.
Roger Ebert’s funeral is scheduled to take place at 10 A.M. at Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral and is open to the public.
