And the plot thickens…
In the ever fluctuating will-they-or-won’t-they quandary that is the Justice League adaptation, a recent article in Empire (via a Henry Cavill fan site) set to hit tomorrow has Zack Snyder offering his two cents on the project.
As reported by Comic Book Movie.com, Snyder revealed that, should his Man of Steel prove to be a success, it’s likely that Warner Bros. will greenlight a Justice League movie with him as director.
Although Snyder did not confirm whether he would accept the offer, he did express excitement over the notion of creating a cinematic DC world.
“I have a hard time having perspective. But I have to say that it is everything that I could have hoped for. Touch wood that I am not insane, but it feels really good,” he said.
This news appears to confirm a statement made yesterday by Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer. During a promotional press run for the Blu-Ray of Gangster Squad, Fleischer was asked by Screen Rant about being on the shortlist of filmmakers rumored to helm the Justice League movie. Fleischer responded with a terse, ”“[T]hat’s something that Zack Snyder is going to wind up doing.”
