Updated: The full trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been released through ABC. Check it out above.
Original Text: Probably the most obvious of the fall TV pickups has been ABC confirming that they would be bringing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to their network this fall. Only days after picking the series up, the first promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has made its debut.
Co-written by Joss Whedon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will follow the undercover organization that assembled The Avengers. Led by Agent Coulson, the team will take on cases that aren’t quite normal as the non-powered agents discover potentially new heroes and of course, new villains.
Besides the return of Clark Gregg’s apparently resurrected Agent Coulson, the show will also star Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Ming-Na Wen.
The series will be part of Marvel’s “Phase Two,” which started with last week’s release of Iron Man 3 and is scheduled to end with The Avengers 2. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will supposedly fill in some of the gaps between movies while also diving deeper into Marvel’s gargantuan universe.
While it is unclear when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air, as the trailer only states that it is “coming soon,” more information should be known by the end of the week as the major networks announce their fall schedules.
