It may be a while until production starts on Star Wars Episode VII, but director J.J. Abrams says that an old friend of the series may be coming back.
During a press conference in Berlin for his upcoming film Star Trek Into Darkness, Abrams said John Williams will most likely return to score the new film. The report comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter.
“Again, for Star Wars, it’s very early days, but I believe that, going forward, John Williams will be doing that film because he was there long before I was,” he said.
Currently, Disney has the new Star Wars film locked for a summer 2015 release date.
