Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis Reportedly Leaving SNL
It’s been a downer week for SNL fans. Earlier it was announced that head writer and “Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers and actor Bill Hader were leaving the show.
But not only do late-night viewers have to cope with two of SNL’s favorites jumping ship, they may have to prepare themselves for even more departures. In addition to Meyers and Hader, veteran actor Fred Armisen is reportedly expected to call it quits and Jason Sudeikis “probably” will as well, according to the New York Post. Grab some extra Kleenex.
That means that next year Kenan Thompson will be SNL’s most seasoned performer with a decade under his belt.
Some consolation is that Meyers does plan on sticking around this fall to man “Weekend Update” before taking over the Late Show in February.
NBC did not immediately return a request for a comment. Keep checking back, and we will update as we learn more.
