The Clash to Release Huge Boombox-Shaped Box Set

Legendary punks The Clash are releasing a box set of remasters of their first five of their albums, The Clash (1977), Give ‘Em Enough Rope (1978), London Calling (1979), Sandinista! (1980) and Combat Rock (1982), along with three discs of demos and singles, a new edition of The Clash’s fanzine The Armagideon Times and a DVD of footage of the band. The box set’s design was homegrown, as bassist Paul Simonon was the art director for the boombox-shaped set.

The Clash will also be issuing two CD’s of tracks inspired by their performance at Brixton Academy (now known as O2 Academy, Brixton) in July of 1982. This 33-track collection is to be titled The Clash Hits Back, and it will be available along with the boxset on Sept. 9. Tracks listed below.
