The Lonely Island Announces Third Release, The Wack Album
Much like Daft Punk, The Lonely Island used the commercial break on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live to release the first information on their third release, The Wack Album.
Following up Incredibad and Turtleneck and Chain, The Wack Album will be released on June 11 with pre-orders of the CD/DVD already available through the band’s website.
This news comes soon after the announcement of The Lonely Island’s first live performance July 15 at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, but it is unclear whether the trio will tour in support of their newest album.
While the tracklist is still unreleased, there are several songs from SNL’s Digital Shorts that seem likely, such as “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” featuring Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, the “Lazy Sunday” sequel with Chris Parnell and “YOLO” featuring Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar.
