It looks like fans of The Office will have an extra 15 minutes to say goodbye. The New York Times reports that NBC is extending the one-hour series finale by another 15 minutes, and the last episode will now run from 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m on May 16.
The finale will feature a wedding (though whose nuptials is anyone’s guess) and one last round of interviews with the Dunder Mifflin crew. Though Steve Carell is rumored to make an appearance as the beloved Michael Scott, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
If a 75-minute finale wasn’t enough, fans can also enjoy an hour-long retrospective special of the show, which is set to run at 8 p.m. before the last episode.
In the meantime, this Thursday’s episode will feature guest appearances by Santigold, Clay Aiken and NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The episode will follow the tryout process for the A.A.R.M. (Assistant to the Assistant Regional Manager) position as well as auditions for a show called The Next Great A Capella Sensation and airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
