The Sims 4 Expected Next Year
Four years after releasing The Sims 3, Maxis and EA have announced that The Sims 4 is currently in development for PC and Mac and is scheduled for release next year.
The newest installment of the popular series was unveiled on EA’s blog The Beat, also confirming that the game will have a “single-player offline experience.” In March, EA and Maxis released the latest version of SimCity, which was restricted by having to always be played online, much to the chagrin of players and critics.
With only three installments and a continuous stream of expansions, The Sims franchise has become one of the most successful game series with over 150 million copies sold. Now its millions of fans only have to wait until 2014 to raise, love and of course torture their new Sim families.
