The ending of 30 Rock might have left a glaring, Tracy Morgan-sized hole in your life. But thankfully television will be Tracy-less no longer. According to Deadline, Morgan recently signed on for the FX comedy pilot Death Pact helmed by writers Rob Long (Cheers) and Tad Safran (The Long Weekend).
Death Pact will follow the story of a “formerly lazy, pot-dealing assistant high school coach” who returns home from war as an acclaimed hero. After coming across former friends and students he reels them into a ridiculous self-help scheme that promises hilarious results.
“This is going to be fun,” Nick Grad, FX’s EVP Original Programming, said. “Anything starring Tracy Morgan could be off-the-charts hilarious.” This new project of the former 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live star will be produced by Eric and Ken Tannenbaum (Two And A Half Men) and is set to begin filming this summer.
