Watch Gripping Testimony from Andrew, Daft Punk's Pizza Guy
In the weeks leading up to their highly anticipated fourth studio album Random Access Memories, Daft Punk has run a series of short documentaries highlighting several of the album’s contributors. Titled “The Collaborators,” the series has already seen Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards, Nile Rodgers, Animal Collective’s Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales and Pharrell Williams discuss their part in the making of the album.
Now, Funny or Die has released a video spoofing this series. The subject of their installment? Andrew, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based dude who served the band pizza this one time.
Andrew has a lot to say about his life-changing encounter with the band. For one, their innovative musical stylings are matched only by their experimental taste in pizza.
“They ordered, literally, the biggest pizza we had,” Andrew recounts. “You look around and pizza these days have no soul here comes this pair and they just order something from a whole other era. It was like they captured everything that made pizza great in the ‘70s and then completely made it their own.”
