Boards of Canada have finally delivered a full song from their upcoming record, Tomorrow’s Harvest, their first in seven years.
The new tune, “Reach for the Dead,” was accompanied by a stunning video — the one that debuted recently in Tokyo — directed by Neil Krug, a Los Angeles director and photographer, who helmed an unofficial Boards of Canada video three years ago.
Today, their label Warp Records tweeted out a reversed version of “Reach for the Dead,” with no context or reason, just when it seemed that maybe Boards of Canada’s cryptic days were behind them. You can watch both versions below.
