Weezer Announces Support for 2014 Cruise

Weezer’s aquatic adventure of a music festival is set to take over the sea once again in 2014, as the group has just announced the supporting acts for their 2014 cruise festival. While 2012’s installment featured a culmination of rising and established bands like Dinosaur Jr., Wavves, Yuck and Free Energy, next year’s lineup is filled with more diverse, exciting acts.

Support comes from acts that include Cat Power, Toro y Moi, DIIV and Caveman. Weezer will perform three times during this festival, twice on the cruise and once on a private “Island in the Sun.”

Departing from Jacksonville, Fla. on Feb. 13, the cruise will embark on a four-day excursion, stopping at two ports in the Bahamas as well as the aforementioned private island. Tickets start at $600, a welcomed decline from 2012’s $800 reservations. Tickets include a Q&A/photo session with Weezer, a gameshow, complimentary meals, a cocktail party and much more.
