Brooklyn-based designer Nina Azzarello took her love of tattoos and created Icon Ink, a set of handmade desktop icons. The pack includes 12 icons made from paper cutouts inspired by traditional vintage tattoo art. The usual iconographies of ink are represented in the series: compass (Safari), anchor (photos), skull (music) and swallow (messages).
“Tattoos are physical memoirs, cataloging our stories and secrets,” says Azzarello— in many ways, so are our computers.
The set is available for purchase as a digital download via Azzarello’s Etsy shop.
