Mia Wasikowska Rumored to Replace Emma Stone in Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak
Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Lawless) is rumored to star in a leading role in Guillermo Del Toro’s next film, Crimson Peak.
The Wrap reported earlier today that Wasikowska was the top choice for the role after Emma Stone was forced out due to scheduling complications. Stone is currently in New York City right filming the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man and and is in talks to star in films for Woody Allen film and Cameron Crowe. She dropped out of Del Toro’s project a month ago.
The plot of the film is a horror/haunted house story where Wasikowska would play an author who discovers her husband is not who she thought he was. The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlie Hunnam.
