Modest Mouse Cancels Tour to Ready New Album
In a surprising move, Modest Mouse has canceled almost all summer tour dates in order to work on their forthcoming album.
It’s been six years since Modest Mouse last released a full-length album and it appears the group is looking to streamline the process of writing and recording their next release by canceling all of their upcoming July tour dates, including their stops at T in the Park and Latitude.
The band’s website reads that “after much thought, we have decided to cancel our EU/UK tour to continue work on our forthcoming album. We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”
The band goes on to state that they’ll be sharing their new music sometime next year.
