If you’ve ever wanted to get up and personal with Morrissey and his immaculately coiffed hair, now might be your chance. Earlier this year, after Moz’s March 2 performance at the Hollywood High School auditorium in Los Angeles, Pitchfork announced the set would be released as a concert film on DVD.
According to his nephew Sam Esty Rayner—the documentary is getting the deluxe IMAX 3D treatment and will be shown in 47 theatres across the U.S.
Though there’s been no official statement from Moz himself regarding the film’s DVD or the theatrical release date, the flick was mentioned in the spring 2013 catalog from Eagle Vision, the TV division of Eagle Rock Entertainment.
If the IMAX deal goes through, heartbroken American fans will have their recompense. Unlike previous North American tour dates that the Smiths’ singer has cancelled for health reasons, Morrissey in IMAX will be larger than life—and this time he won’t stand you up.
