First announced in 2012, the film adaptation of Tim Winton’s best-seller The Turning is set to debut at the Melbourne International Film Festival next month, marking the directorial debut of a few well-known big screen actors.
Cate Blanchett (Hanna), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland), Justin Kurzel (The Snowtown Murders) and David Wenham (300) are four of the 17 directors adapting short stories from Winton’s novel, IndieWire reports. The three also star in the collection alongside Rose Byrne, Miranda Otto and Hugo Weaving.
