Watch Adam Scott, Amy Poehler in The Greatest Event in Television History
Turns out, Adam Scott and Jon Hamm’s recreation of Simon and Simon was, in fact, not the greatest event in television history.
Last fall, Scott teamed up with Hamm for a gloriously outrageous remake of the one-minute Simon and Simon opening credit sequence. Paul Rudd directed the redo while the segment, aired by Adult Swim, glimpsed behind the scenes of the tumultuous production.
Needless to say, while its label as the greatest event in television history has been retracted, it was still pretty fantastic.
Well, Scott now returns with his Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler for what they assure us is the true Greatest Event in Television History. This time, the duo attempt to replicate the opening sequence to the ‘80s detective show Hart to Hart, with Saturday Night Live’s Horatio Sanz and Survivor’s Jeff Probst reprising his role as host.
Once again, things don’t run smoothly but, in the end, we’re still graced with a well-made recreation. You can watch The Greatest Event in Television History below as well as the original Simon and Simon credits for comparison.
