Watch David Lynch's Video for NIN's "Came Back Haunted" (If You Don't Have Epilepsy)
What does it say about Trent Reznor and David Lynch that when a music video collaboration between the two comes out bearing a Warning: This Might Cause Epileptic Seizures disclaimer, we’re not surprised?
The surrealist director/musician/visual artist teamed with Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails to direct their new single “Came Back Haunted,” and it’s quite possibly more creepy than you might have imagined.
The four-minute clip, which was released via the band’s VEVO channel, is full of nightmarish figures, flashing images and unsteady visuals of a blurry Reznor. It’s slightly disorienting, totally freaky and everything we’d expect from the guy who has previously directed hallucinatory films like Mulholland Drive Eraserhead.
“Came Back Haunted” is the first single off the band’s forthcoming eighth studio album, Hesitation Marks, which is out Sept. 3 on Columbia Records.
