Vampire Weekend Dines With Indie Stars for "Diane Young" Video

June 3, 2013  |  11:10am

Though the song was officially released back in March, Vampire Weekend has released the music video for their single “Diane Young,” and it follows closely with the track’s uninhibited sound.

The clip, which is the first proper music video from the band’s excellent third studio album, Modern Vampires of the City, was directed by Primo Khan, and it features some major indie star power. With the help of some particularly wild antics, which include smoking marijuana out of a saxophone, the Ivy League rockers manage to run off an impressive list of dinner guests that includes Sky Ferreira, Santigold, both members of Chromeo, Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth and The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser. Watching it all happen is almost as fun as listening to the track itself.

Modern Vampires of the City is out now on XL Recordings.
