The celebration for country singer Willie Nelson’s 80th birthday was one only a legend like himself could put together. At Jack White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, Tenn., Nelson was joined by fellow musicians including Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Ashley Monroe and Leon Russell for an intimate birthday concert.
“T for Texas, T for Tennessee, nothing says America like the man who is about to play,” said Jack White while introducing Nelson. “Born in the Depression, still here, still kicking.”
The concert was presented by CMT Crossroads and aired last night. You can watch the full performance of the show below and bonus videos featuring White and Nelson sitting down and shooting the breeze here.
