Comedy Central to Release First Bill Cosby Stand-Up Special in 30 Years

It’s been 30 years since Bill Cosby changed the game of stand-up comedy by simply sitting down.

In his now classic stand-up special, Himself, Cosby captivated the audience by sitting in the center of the stage, only standing to deliver punchlines. The special later brought him to Fat Albert, The Cosby Show, Jell-o and a long, successful career.

Decades later, Comedy Central announced that Cosby is ready for another. The network announced today that it will air Far From Finished, Cosby’s first comedy special since 1983. Cosby has recently been making his rounds on late-night talk shows, which included a hilarious stop at Jimmy Fallon. From the looks of it, he doesn’t seem short of material in the slightest.

The special will be directed by fellow comedy legend Robert Townsend and will air on Nov. 24 on Comedy Central.
