Justin Vernon, Patty Griffin, Merrill Garbus to Appear on New Blind Boys of Alabama Album
The Blind Boys of Alabama will be releasing their new album, I’ll Find A Way, via Sony Masterworks on Oct. 1. Now the band has unveiled the final set of names in a slew of special guests to be featured on the record.
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, who also produced the album, will join the Boys on a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Every Grain of Sand,” Merrill Garbus (tUnE-yArDs) sings on the reggae-esque “I’ve Been Searching” and Patty Griffin on the track “Jubilee.”
Vernon, Griffin and Garbus join other guests Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond, Casey Dienel of White Hinterland and Sam Amidon, who were previously announced last month.
The act will follow the release of I’ll Find A Way with a national tour that includes a set of performances at the Austin City Limits Festival. Check out details at their website.
