Things are looking promising regarding the Bluth family’s return to the small screen. Arrested Development producer Brian Grazer told Bloomberg News that he and his company are currently in “conversations” with Netflix about producing a fifth season of the comedy.
There are reportedly no official negotiations between Netflix and 20th Century Fox TV regarding new episodes, but both parties expect an eventual renewal considering the frenzied excitement that accompanied the 15-episode fourth season Netflix released in May.
If everything works out with the busy schedules of the show’s actors, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett and Tony Hale, the earliest that new Arrested episodes could begin shooting would be next summer.
According to Variety, Netflix is “interested in doing another season of ‘Arrested Development’ if it is logistically possible.”
