Parks & Recreation has been building up quite the cast of cameos for its long-awaited sixth season. Stars like Kristen Bell, Heidi Klum and Henry Winkler have already been announced for the season, and now NBC’s comedic beacon of light will be adding on yet another guest star. While Pawnee only has room for one mustachioed manly man, it appears that Eagleton is home to its own ‘stached-out badass—as Sam Elliott is set to appear as Ron Swanson’s Eagleton counterpart.
TVLine reports that the iconic actor (Tombstone, The Big Lebowski) will play the presumably snobby Eagletonian that serves as Ron Swanson’s doppelgänger, much like Kristen Bell’s role as Leslie’s “richer and better dressed” counterpart. Bell is set to appear on an upcoming episode that will air in early October. The episode features the annual Pawnee-Eagleton basketball game, so one would expect Sam Elliott to be making his cameo during the same episode. Here’s to hoping there’s a meat-eating competition.
The hour-long Sept. 26 premiere will find some of the parks department making their way to London, a move that is primarily to accommodate Chris Pratt’s filming of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
