Having trouble wrapping your head around SyFy’s Sharknado? Yeah, we’re still talking about it, too. Pairing sharks with even more bizarre and unnatural phenomena, the network will produce a new horror film titled Ghost Shark and has shared a sneak preview of the deadly beast.
In an exclusive clip,, an awesomely bad CGI ghost shark materializes in the ocean, terrorizing a group of kids at the beach. But the full trailer, released this week, is where it really gets serious. That pesky shark will tear you apart in the bathtub, in the pool and on dry land. Consider yourselves warned, landlubbers.
According to Syfy’s Executive VP of Programming, Thomas Vitale, who said the script was inspired by one of his 7-year-old daughter’s ideas, “there’s a logical reason” behind the premise of the film. We’ll take his word for it, but let’s be honest: the more nonsensical, the better.
Starring Mackenzie Rosman, Richard Moll, Tim Taylor, and Lucky Johnson, Ghost Shark premieres Aug. 22 and the full trailer can be viewed below:
