While the rest of us over here in the states were watching fireworks, fans at London’s Barbican were treated to a special Fourth-of-July Beck performance.
The musician performed his 2012 album Song Reader—which was released solely as sheet music—live for the first time ever. Beck was joined onstage by a number of guests, such as Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, Franz Ferdinand, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Beth Orton and The Mighty Boosh.
Beck is also currently on a limited summer tour around the U.S. and will stop next in Wantagh, N.Y. on July 27.
