Watch the Animated Video for Yo La Tengo's "Ohm"

July 10, 2013  |  3:30pm

Today, Yo La Tengo shared the video for “Ohm,” the first track off of this year’s Fade. Directed by Donick Cary (The Simpsons), the animated video is a psychedelic adventure that follows a boy who explores a colorful world. There, babies smoke cigars and scientists are figuring out the mathematical proof that gives us ‘Yo La Tengo.’ Apparently, the formula is a very convoluted one that includes Tony Bennett, Charles Manson, Black Sabbath, The Cure, The Zombies and many others.

“Ohm” will be released as a limited edition triple 12” set via Matador that comes packed in a special shower curtain. You can preorder The “Ohm” 3X12″ from the Matador Store today, or find it in select record stores on July 30.
