Arcade Fire Officially Tied to Reflektor Street Campaign
Arcade Fire confirmed that they are responsible for the Reflektor street campaign in New York City, an announcement that comes as no surprise.
Throughout the past month, the Reflektor symbol — a diamond within a circle — has popped up in various places around the city. On Aug. 12, those behind the campaign uploaded a video to its Instagram account that featured an unknown artist etching the symbol onto a wall.
As Arcade Fire Tube points out, the band has confirmed their involvement in the campaign with a mural on a building in Downtown Manhattan, on the corner of Grand and Lafayette streets. The mural also indicates that something involving the band will occur on Sept. 9 at 9 p.m.
Arcade Fire announced last month that their latest album is set for release on Oct. 29. However, they have provided few details regarding the album, which is their first since 2010’s The Suburbs .
