Cold War Kids Reveal "Water & Power" Music Video, Announce New EP
Cold War Kids pulled an unexpected double punch yesterday by surprising fans with not one, but two rounds of exciting news.
The indie rockers revealed via Twitter yesterday afternoon that they had some “announcements” to make but that they had to decide which order to make them. An hour later they appeared to have made their minds up, first posting a new music video for “Water & Power” off this year’s Dear Miss Lonelyhearts LP.
Then, 50 minutes after that, the band announced a Tuxedos EP that will be released later this fall and will feature three previously unreleased songs. But a new music video and new EP announcement still wasn’t enough hype for one day. They guys also revealed a cut from the upcoming EP called “Pine St” on their Soundcloud page.
The new track is a twinkling, rather mellow offering from the usually boisterous band, and the music video provides a bubbly, black and white visual to accompany one of Lonelyhearts’ more Coldplay-esque melodies. Check “Water & Power” out above, and hear “Pine St” below.
