David Morrissey has signed on to play the lead role in the new AMC pilot Line of Sight , according to Deadline. Morrissey is best known for his role as The Governor in another popular AMC Series, The Walking Dead .

“We are huge fans of David Morrissey and are glad he’ll be doing double duty for AMC viewers through his work on The Walking Dead and our pilot for Line of Sight ,” a statement from AMC read.

Morrissey plans to start shooting for Line of Sight in conjunction with shooting for the fourth season of The Walking Dead despite rumors that his new casting would mean that his character on the latter would be killed off. Both shows are produced in Atlanta, Ga.

Line of Sight revolves around a member of the National Transportation Safety Board who sets out to investigate a mysterious plane crash that nearly took his life.
