Haley Bonar to Play Session in Minneapolis Presented By Aloft Hotels, Paste
For the second summer in a row Paste is hitting the road, partnering with Aloft Hotels to bring one-of-a-kind live performances to cities all over the country. The 20-date series has included bands like Futurebirds, Kingsley Flood and Cary Brothers, and now we’ve taking to the Midwest with dates in Cleveland, Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. For stop three on our mini-tour, we’re excited to announce that Haley Bonar will be joining us in Minneapolis.
If you’re expecting a low-key singer-songwriter to take the stage when you head out to see Minneapolis artist Haley Bonar, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The young musician got her start at an open mic, catching the ear of Alan Sparhawk of Low. Since her last-minute run opening for Low on tour, Bonar has released four albums and led a more aggressive sideproject, Gramma’s Boyfriend. For her next solo effort, Bonar seems to have plucked the best of both projects. Earnest songwriting meets a more powerful sound on her newer recordings, and her live performances feature a full band behind her captivating vocals.
Join us on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Aloft Minneapolis and be a part of this live performance video session by RSVPing here.
