From the Internet to Fox News, Sean Hannity took his Twitter spat with Ryan Adams to a new level during last night’s episode of Hannity, dedicating a portion of the show titled “Liberal Twitter Tirade” to the singer.
Earlier that day, Adams had tweeted: “@seanhannity Your entire soul is controlled by fear and by hate. Evolve little chicken man. See reality.” The Fox News host noted that the tweet had since been removed, prompting him to ask, “Why the urge to quickly recall the tweet, sir?”
But the heated retaliation toward the “gutless little coward” didn’t stop there. Hannity said:
Singer-songwriter—by the way, you probably don’t know him, he’s not that popular— Ryan Adams
We reached out to Mr. Adams, we invited him on the show for a comment… Why don’t you have the courage to come on the show and defend yourself? He called me a ‘terrorist’
If we wanted to torture terrorists, we can play his music, which isn’t that popular anyway
Come on the program, stop being a wimp, he’s hiding behind his rock star makeup like the gutless little coward that he is.”
Tamara Holder and Miss Oklahoma Anna-Marie Costello were part of the roundtable discussion, the latter adding that Adams had “no sense of integrity” and that “the problem with having a Twitter is you can say whatever you want without having any kind of accountability.”
Capping off the segment, Hannity abruptly ended with, “I’m done with him anyway, most people don’t even know who he is.” ‘Til another day, then.
