We’ve seen the fruits of Sigur Rós’ “Valtari” project, which had a dozen filmmakers capture “whatever comes into their head when they listen to [the] songs.” (Remember the Shia in the Beouf video for “Fjogur Piano”? Wild.) The idea there was to “allow people utmost creative freedom” and the band has since adapted the same concept to a track on their latest album Kveikur.
Sigur Rós teamed up with Instagram this week to create an “ever-evolving music video” for their single “Stormur.”
Prepare to get snappy and creative—that means no food pics—because anyone can be a part of this project. The group has asked Instagram users to provide their own photo and video interpretations of the song with the hashtag #Stormur, which will then be added to the live feed.
