In late July, Seattle natives The Head and the Heart announced the release date for their highly anticipated sophomore album Let’s Be Still. Today, the group unveiled “Shake,” the first taste of what the six-piece has been brewing up in Seattle’s Studio Litho.
Produced with the help of Shawn Simmons and mixed by Peter Katis, a man who’s helped shape albums by The Swell Season and The National, the album acts as the follow-up on the breakout success of their first Sub Pop album, which launched the group from open mic gigs to sold-out performances.
The new album arrives Oct. 15, but you can stream “Shake” here or at their website, where you can also catch a glimpse of their fall tour dates.
The Head and the Heart will take their stomping single to the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight at 9 p.m.
