Throughout the summer we’ve received a handful of teasers and trailers to get fans excited for the upcoming film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s beloved sci-fi novel Ender’s Game. The film boasts an impressive array of actors both young and old, with Harrison Ford playing the ruthless Colonel Hyrum Graff, Ben Kingsley as the grizzled alien-war-vet Mazer Rackham and the promising young actor Asa Butterfield (Hugo) starring as the titular character. The final trailer for Ender’s Game was just released today, and it gives fans a hearty clip of the interstellar war that’s set to take place.
The new trailer showcases some of the visually stunning battle scenes from the film, set for a Nov. 1 release. But the main focus is placed on Colonel Graff’s headstrong dedication to the prodigal young soldier. While the novel delves deep into Ender’s psyche and the pressures that are placed on an adolescent who has been thrust into battle, the film seems to place a hefty focus on the action-packed warzone that the child has found himself in.
Ender’s Game is written and directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and produced by Bob Orci.
