Grand Theft Auto Passes $1 Billion in Sales
In just three days, Grand Theft Auto V has now passed $1 billion in sales after raking in $800 million during its release on Wednesday.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive, said “Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment. We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V.”
According to an interview with Creator Dan Houser, GTA V was around $250 million to produce over four years by a team of 250 people.
