Janelle Monáe commemorated the recent release of her sophomore album The Electric Lady with a desk-stomping performance on Late Show with David Letterman yesterday night, that was every bit as electric as her album name would suggest.
Her performance impressed Letterman so much that he declared her “the hardest working woman in show business” at its finish.
Monáe performed the upbeat dance track aptly named “Dance Apocalyptic,” which appears on The Electric Lady. At the song’s end, Monáe capped her performance by throwing her mic to the ground and running through the Letterman audience.
