Watch a Trailer for Railway Man, Starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman
In Railway Man, Colin Firth plays the real-life character of Eric Lomax, who was a World War II P.O.W. whom the Japanese forced to work on the Thai-Burma Railway, also known as the “Death Rail” because of how many workers died during its construction. In the film, Lomax is tormented by his experience working on the rail, and along with his wife, played by Nicole Kidman, tries to get some closure by seeking out his captors years later.
Railway Man just made its world premiere on Friday at the Toronto Film Festival and was given a standing ovation. So it’s probably good. No word yet on a U.S. release date, but you can watch a full trailer below.
