Watch "Hollywood & Vines," a Collaborative Short Film Made Entirely of Vine Videos
A tip of the cap to Ashton Kutcher (
aplusk), who tweeted today a link to the website for a short film project titled "Hollywood & Vines," described as a "first-of-its-kind short film made entirely out of six-second Vines submitted from all over the world." The video is presented by Airbnb (Airbnb), a small team of editors and the individual recordings of over 100 separate Vine filmmakers, according to the website. The film adds a really cool spin to the brief stop-motion animation that Vine has popularized, and the singular narrative created from crowdsourcing these Viners is quite impressive.
The film shows a plain old piece of paper, born into serving the needs of menial office labor, as it traverses the globe in search of some greater purpose. You can check out the video below, or visit HollywoodandVines.com for its full list of credits and a brief description of how the film was conceived.
