Watch the Dark Side of Disneyland in Escape from Tomorrow Trailer
The Mouse is not going to be happy with this one.
Earlier this year, writer/director Randy Moore caused quite a stir on the film festival circuit with his project Escape from Tomorrow. Filmed without permission at Disney World and Disneyland, the experimental film weaves a surreal, David Lynch-esque horror tale about a family’s ill-fated visit to the famed theme park.
Shot guerilla-style with most of the skeleton crew pretending to be regular, camera-yielding tourists, the film’s prospects for ever being released seemed dubious in the light of Disney’s infamously protective nature.
Yet, despite the inevitable opposition from the Disney legal team, Producers Distribution Agency have announced they would give the film a limited release in theaters as well as a video-on-demand distribution. Set for release on Oct. 11, general audiences can now get the first glimpse this a recently released trailer.
