Watch Arcade Fire's Colbert Performance, Interview
Arcade Fire, currently performing under the moniker The Reflektors, stopped by The Colbert Report last night, a week before the release of their highly anticipated album Reflektor.
Brothers Win and Will Butler sat down with Colbert to discuss their upcoming album, Canadian music and performing and working in Haiti.
“The Steely Dan of Canada,” according to Colbert, then performed two new songs “Normal Person” and “Afterlife,” off their upcoming album Reflektor. “Normal Person” began with a performance from a band with gigantic, papier-mâché heads (including a Stephen Colbert centerpiece), followed with the “real” Arcade Fire coming in shortly after. The Reflektors then performed their song “Afterlife,” which made its debut on BBC Radio yesterday as a web exclusive.
Reflektor is out Oct. 29.
