Bon Iver's Justin Vernon Joins The National For Intimate Austin Performance
The National closed out their weekend performance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival with an after-show that featured a guest appearance by Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon, Brooklyn Vegan reports.
Vernon hopped onstage with the Ohio-based indie rock band at the famous Austin venue/BBQ joint Stubb’s, after finishing up a performance of his own with the Shouting Matches, his blues-rock side project.
Vernon sang and played guitar for “Terrible Love” and joined the National in a singalong of “Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks” — two songs from The National’s 2010 album High Violet.
